About Family Reunion
A time for connection, conversations, communion and fun.
On behalf of our AOX church family here in Grove City, I am excited to invite you to come join us October 3-6 for a family reunion. We believe that God places a high value on the way that He has called us to love each other, and we want to set aside time and space to grow in our connection with Him and with each other. For years, we have been dreaming of creating a weekend experience that would allow friends and spiritual family from around the country to get together to reconnect with each other and celebrate what God is doing in our lives.

That is why this is not a conference with a heavy schedule of speakers and breakout groups. Those things are great, but that format often does not allow for the type of connection that we long for. We believe that this family reunion will be a time where we encounter God's presence together, worshipping around the fire OR on a quiet walk in the woods. We want to grow closer to each other as we make room for meaningful conversations about things that matter AND as we create space to play games together and just laugh.

We are praying that each person will be encouraged and strengthened individually, as we engage God and each other in the context of family.

On this page, you will find information about the weekend, places to stay, a rough schedule and a few other things that we thought you would want to know. Please let us know if you have any questions, and make sure to RSVP to let us know if you can make it to this years family reunion.

I hope you can join us!

Accomodations

CAMPING
Because most of the weekend will be spent on-site at beautiful Old Pine, we are encouraging everyone that would enjoy camping in the Pennsylvania fall to plan to bring a tent or hammock and camp for the weekend. We will have shower and restroom facilities on the property, as well as several grills and food prep stations to make sure that you have what you need for the weekend. Limited space is also available for campers / RVs.

HOST HOMES
If you want to come for the weekend (or part of the weekend) but don't want to camp, we will work hard to find a host home to accommodate you as best as we can, subject to availability. Please let us know when you register if you would like for us to try to find housing for you, and if you have any specific considerations that would be important for us to know as we plan to host you.

LODGING
The Grove City area is home to several nice hotels and a great Bed & Breakfast. Most of the hotels are near the Grove City Premium Outlets. If you prefer to stay at a hotel or at a Bed & Breakfast, please note that the Family Reunion is the same weekend as Grove City College's Homecoming.
PLEASE BOOK AS FAR IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE.

Schedule
We are trying really hard to provide enough structure in our schedule to make sure that we are prioritizing the most essential things that we can do together while providing plenty of time and space for authentic relationships to form and grow. In the schedule (especially on Friday and Saturday) you will find several optional activities and conversations in the middle of the day. We will continue to add to these options as people RSVP and we are able to get a better understanding of how many people are coming and what things would be most beneficial to those who can make it.

We'll release a final schedule 10 days before the reunion and will email it to everyone who has registered.

OLD PINE
When Dan & Stephanie McCloskey purchased their home in 2018, it was with a heart to provide a retreat for friends and family. Surrounded by the beautiful woods and fields of Western Pennsylvania, Old Pine is far enough away to enjoy the beautiful stars and observe the wildlife, and close enough to access downtown Grove City.
